Hadtörténelmi Közlemények is the quarterly scientific periodical of the Institute and Museum of Military History. It was established by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 1888 to develop the Hungarian military historiography. Since then, it has been under continuous publication and has entered its 136th volume in 2023. The four issues per year provide over a 1000 pages on the research results of Hungarian and universal military history from the Medieval ages to the current period including newly discovered resources. From time to time, the publication becomes a forum on the disputed issues of military history as well thematic issues tied to significant anniversaries.
