The Vigilia periodical was established by Catholic intellectuals in 1935 with the purpose of facilitating the dialogue between Christianity and modern, secular culture and society, as well as presenting a synthesis of the values of Christianity and literature. Thanks to this unique aspiration, over its eight decades of existence, the periodical has become an intrinsic part of Hungarian culture.
