Christmas 2015 FDC
In accordance with its traditions, Magyar Posta is celebrating Christmas by issuing a regular postage stamp. This year a self-adhesive stamp bearing the inscription Belföld, i.e. for domestic non-priority standard letters, is released for sending season’s greetings by post. The stamps are available as selfadhesive individually die-cut stamps in sheets of 50 stamps and in miniature sheets that also use special effect foil printing with four stamps. The stamp design shows reindeer prancing playfully in a snowy winter landscape. The stamp was designed by the graphic artist Ágnes Berta and produced by Codex Értékpapírnyomda Zrt. The new issue will be available at large post offices and Filaposta in Hungary from 10 November, but may also be purchased from Magyar Posta’s online store. This year customers will once again be able to send festive greetings to loved ones far away cancelled with the postmark of the Hungarian village whose name means Christmas during the weeks of Advent between 29 November and 26 December 2015. The service is available at any post office.
