Magyar Posta is continuing to issue thematic personalised stamps in 2022. This year again four new stamps with labels are due to be released, three of which are to be issued on 10 February 2022. For each theme, 12,250 copies of the stamps with labels designed by the graphic artist Imre Benedek were produced. They may be purchased at Filaposta and from Magyar Posta’s online store while stocks last. HUNFILEX 2022 BUDAPEST Stamp World Championship • The National Federation of Hungarian Philatelists is organising the Stamp World Championship with the support of FIP and FEPA in Budapest between 31 March 2022 and 3 April 2022. The thematic personalised stamp issued to promote the event and the special postmark associated with it feature the logo of the Stamp World Championship. The National Federation of Hungarian Philatelists is 100 years old • Its predecessor, the National Federation of Philately Associations, was founded 100 years ago and has operated continuously, adopting its current name in 1952. The Federation’s aim is to foster the traditions of and develop Hungarian philately and philatelic culture, to encourage philatelic activities, and to strive to preserve the heritage of Hungarian philately, retain its values and increase its recognition. To mark the 100 years since its foundation, the centenary logo of the National Federation of Hungarian Philatelists features on the thematic personalised stamp and its associated special postmark. The National Federation of Hungarian Philatelists’ stamp mosaic is 25 years old • An 18 m2 stamp mosaic is on display in the Federation’s main hall. It was made in 1997 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Federation’s foundation and is entered in the Guinness World Records. It was made with the help of stamp collectors using 100,000 stamps. The stamp mosaic appears on the label of the stamp issued to mark the anniversary, while the special postmark uses a design related to the topic.
