ITEM NO: 2020120010131

Magyar Posta continues the issue of its series of definitive stamps on postal history, which began in 2017. In 2020 six denominations are appearing. The series of self-adhesive stamps with a total face value of HUF 2,750 was designed by the graphic artist Barnabás Baticz and is produced by Pátria Printing House in quantities dependent on demand. The new issue is available from Filaposta, philately specialist services, certain post offices and www.posta.hu. The stamps of the definitive series entitled Postal History issued annually depict characteristic or unusual objects and work tools used by the postal service which typify a certain period. The stamps, in keeping with the practice for the series, are self-adhesive to make their use easier and faster. Of the precious artefacts of the Post Museum, postal objects and tools that were used in the period from the end of the Second World War until the change of regime, and in some cases thereafter as well, are presented. These are: Postcode Guides (HUF 25), Mail Bag (HUF 225), Postman’s Cap (HUF 350), Rural Letterboxes (HUF 450), Postage Stamp Vending Machine (HUF 800) and Robur Van (HUF 900). The first day cover shows the current postal logo, and the postmark has a stylised drawing of the postal horn.
